A native Nevadan, Chris Garvey has lived in Clark County School District B for nearly three decades.

She and her husband of over 30 years have three children, all of whom have attended Clark County District Schools.

Committed to improving the lives and education of our children, Chris has been an advocate for class size reduction and common sense education reform long before she was elected to the Clark County School District Board of Trustees in2008.

An advocate for mandatory kindergarten, as well as finding solutions to zoning and safety issues, Chris has been an active member of the PTA and deeply involved in education since the grassroots campaign for the school bond that produced 101 new schools and 11 replacement schools in Clark County. 

Outside of her work with the Clark County School District, Chris is a dental health professional who volunteers both in the classroom and in dental clinics for underserved children.
